Peter Grant is a Scottish National Party (SNP) politician. He is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Glenrothes, having been elected in the 2015 general election.〔http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/election-2015-32594267〕 ==Biography== Grant was born in Coatbridge in 1961 to a family that were traditionally Labour voters. He moved to the main town of his constituency, Glenrothes, in 1982. He became a Councillor for the Scottish National Party in Glenrothes in 1992. He served for five years as Leader of Fife Council, and is currently the leader of the SNP group. Grant stood as a candidate in the 2015 UK General Election for the SNP in Glenrothes. He was the winning candidate, with a majority of 13,897. He was replacing Labour's Lindsay Roy, who had been MP since 2008. He has stated that he is a keen amateur musician and bowls, previously being the chairman of Leslie Bowling Club. He has been married to his wife, Fiona, who is a GP, for thirty years.
